We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Dining Room Supervisor for our flagship property, Westerleigh PARC in West Vancouver. In this key role you will be responsible for the management of the dining room service to create an enjoyable and pleasant dining experience for the residents and guests; assure a high standard of appearance and service; hire, lead, schedule and motivate dining room staff; greet and seat residents; serve and provide bar service as needed.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the daily dining room service to ensure a high-quality resident experience
  • Schedule, lead, train, and motivate the serving team, provide regular feedback
  • Maintain and oversee standards of service in the dining room by ensuring that meals are served according to plating standards and in compliance with all public health regulations
  • Act as liaison between the dining room, food & beverage team and management.

Qualifications we are looking for:

  • Three years of experience as a server team leader or similar position
  • Hospitality industry or seniors living background
  • Knowledge of mixology and/or wine an asset
  • Experience in hiring, leading, training and scheduling staff
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, coordinate and plan the day to day operations of the dining room
  • Outstanding communication and relationship building skills with residents and their families, colleagues, suppliers/consultants and the public
  • Proactive approach and anticipation of potential issues with the ability to resolve them quickly
  • Effective team member/leader with the desire and ability to support the company and the team in all activities
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Empathic, energetic with an affinity for working with seniors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Strong organization and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Positive, personable and professional demeanour
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
